What
are Permanent Cosmetics?
Also known as permanent makeup, the
pigment is placed beneath the epidermis of the skin with a
very small needle. This implanted pigment is permanent, although
aging, and exposure to sun may lightly fade the pigments appearance
over time. A touch-up appointment done every few years may
be needed to keep your permanent makeup looking its best.
Is this safe to have done? All procedures are done with pre-sterilized
and single use disposable needles, and with strict sanitation
guidelines to ensure your safety. What type of Pigments are
used? The pigments used are high quality non-iron oxide made
by Premier Pigments, are safe to use, and stay true to their
colors for years to come. To help maintain your permanent
make-up, it is wise to apply sunscreen. Will it be painful?
Topical anesthetics are applied to reduce any minor discomfort
you may receive from the procedure. Everyones pain sensitivity
is individual, so every step is taken to keep the client comfortable.
Am I able to change it? Even though permanent makeup lasts
‘forever‘, we are able to do variations in shape or color.
If you like to change your look often, the use of your own
topical makeup would be a better choice for you.
What
Can I Expect?
Consultation prior to procedure to discuss with Melissa your
expectations and any questions about permanent cosmetic procedure.
Immediately following the procedure, you will see some redness,
swelling, and occasional bruising. To reduce those symptoms,
apply ice to the procedure area. For up to one week after
the procedure, most of the tenderness and swelling will be
gone. There will be some flaking of the skin and sloughing
off of pigment. During the next few weeks, you will notice
that the pigment color will change as the skin goes through
the healing process. Two months after the procedure, the healing
process will be complete. At this time you may have a touch-up
on your current procedure or you may have another new permanent
cosmetic procedure. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen, so your
makeup will alway
