Before
you begin your massage session, the therapist will ask some
general health questions. It is very important that you inform
the therapist of any health problems or medications you are
taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly
advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage
prior to any session. We may require a recommendation
or approval from your doctor.
If
you have the following symptoms and/or condition, you must
check with your doctor and have a written approval from your
doctor prior to any massage session:

A swelling that might be a malignancy

Skin infections or ulcerations

A deep inflammatory process

Local acute inflammation
-
Phlebitis, thrombosis or other vascular disease

Lymphangitis
-
Acute fever
-
Acute osteomyelitis, tubercular joints or any infectious bone
or joint disease

Variosities, peptic ulcers, menstruating uterus, hemophilia,
or aneurysms

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) - Massage temporarily raises
blood pressure before lowering it
-
Intermittent Claudication - symptoms are pain in the legs
which gets worse upon exertion

Pregnant uterus
If
you are on the following prescription medications, please
get approval from your doctor prior to any massage session:

Blood Pressure Medication

Corticosteroids (including inhalers)

Blood Thinners
